Assess and recommend architectural designs/changes to systems in response to performance issues, growth requirements etc. Work closely with the firm’s International offices, to ensure their networking infrastructure needs are fully catered for and a standardised approach is applied where possible.• Contribute to the implementation, ongoing maintenance and continuous improvement of infrastructure monitoring and reporting.• Work closely in a capacity as 3rd line support with other IT teams to diagnose root cause to resolve problems and identify workarounds for incidents• Contribute to processes and procedures to prevent incidents and problems • Identify and raise operational risks and suggest ways to mitigate these• Work with Team and Project Managers to accurately estimate timescales for project delivery and deliver to agreed timescales and budget• Keep up to date with latest technologies in the market and proactively identify technologies that could improve or best provide for Herbert Smith Freehills business needs. • Ensure relevant documentation and CMDB are kept up to date.• Implement and raise changes using the Change Management process to fix problems and improve the IT service offering.• Serve as liaison to third party vendors (e.g. Verizon, Cisco, Bluecoat) to facilitate problem resolution.
