ABOUT OMAR OZALDIN
I am a senior public health executive with over 15 years of leadership across integrated public health systems, including environmental health, infectious disease control, clinical services, and sexual health. As Director at the Middlesex-London Health Unit, I lead multidisciplinary teams focused on strengthening system capacity, enhancing emergency preparedness and response, and modernizing public health delivery. My work centres on aligning operational practice with evidence, equity, and governance requirements to ensure public health systems are resilient, responsive, and community-focused.In parallel with my executive role, I provide strategic advisory support on public health system capacity, emergency preparedness, infection prevention and control, and government relations. This work draws on practical experience operating at the intersection of policy, operations, and intergovernmental collaboration.I bring a systems-level perspective grounded in real-world delivery, with a strong track record of aligning local public health operations with provincial and national priorities.Disclaimer: The views and opinions expressed here are my own and do not necessarily reflect those of my employer or any affiliated organizations.
