About Omar Khondker
I am Global Head of Compliance, Conduct & Operational Risk (CCOR) for the JPMorgan Chase Data & AI efforts, including development of Generative Artificial Intelligence capabilities. My previous role was head of CCOR for the Securities Services business (which provides custody, settlement, asset servicing, and related services to asset managers). I also was the Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB) Fiduciary Risk Officer. Before my CIB role, I served as Chief Compliance Officer for Merchant Services/WePay (payment processing/facilitation and merchant acquiring), Chase Auto and Business Banking as well as Head of Regulatory Relations for all of the Chase businesses.Before joining JPM, I practiced law for nearly eight years at Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky & Popeo advising investment banks, private equity firms, and PE-backed companies regarding disputes over M&A and securities transactions, fiduciary duty, fund management and investment. I had the honor of working for some time under the late Bob Popeo, Chairman of Mintz and a legend of a lawyer in Boston. I am a proud Wolverine, having received my A.B. in Economics, with class and university honors, from the University of Michigan and earned my J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School (2004).I am admitted to practice law in New York and Massachusetts.
