About Omar Bahri
Few things make me more enthusiastic than putting my data science knowledge to use in real-life projects. For almost four years now, I have been focused on developing novel time series classification, data augmentation, and XAI algorithms as part of my PhD research, with most applications being in the space weather domain. I have experience working with LLMs (prompt engineering and prompt tuning) through an internship as an Applied Scientist at Amazon. In the past, I have led and contributed to projects in other fields such as cloud segmentation, solar irradiance nowcasting, and precision agriculture. My learning journey has taken me to three different countries: Morocco for my bachelor’s, Hungary for my master’s, and the US for my PhD. Each of these experiences exposed me to different social, cultural, and professional environments. Working, collaborating, and living with people with different backgrounds has been an integral part of my personal growth and professional development.
