Dr. Omar Alshekhli is a process engineer with +18 years of diverse and progressive work experience spanning in Plant Operations, Production Supervision, Process Engineering, Research & Development, Process Design, and Oil & Gas Training. He has worked in Canada, Malaysia, UAE, Iraq, and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He earned his Engineering Degree from Laurentian University in Canada- Have done many freelance training in different countries- Experience in multidisciplinary engineering projects in the areas of Hydrotreaters, Fluidized Bed Coking, Distillation, and equipment sizing and specification- Experience in Distributed Control System (DCS), Emergency Shutdown System (ESD), and Advanced Process Control (APC)- Hands-on experience with gas separation, drying, treating, compression and stabilization facilities- Experience in process control, advanced process control strategy, reaction and mixing, process analysis, environmental and safety analysis, unit operation, oil and gas engineering - Responsible for the development, delivery and evaluation of a broad range of courses within chemical engineering and process operation programs- Hands-on experience with characterisation techniques including AFM, SEM, Raman spectroscopy, visible reflectance spectroscopy, and XRD- Certified as a process operations trainer by Schlumberger.
