Ensuring that the classroom runs smoothly and students continue to learn and progress in the absence of the regular teacher• Maintaining discipline and order in the classroom during teachers’ absence.• Liaising with other members of staff to ensure that lessons run smoothly• Give support to students with special needs• Ensuring that the classroom environment is safe• Ensuring that students are aware of any health and safety procedures that need to be followed• Maintaining accurate records of student attendance and behavior during lesson• Provide feedback to absent teacher on the progress of the class• Support students with their work by providing additional guidance and explanation as required and assist with technical issues related to the lesson plan.
