ABOUT OLUWAFUNMILOLA SALU
With the desire to inspire a technologically inclusive society through research, I am currently pursuing my doctoral research program at the University of Stirling.My extensive professional experience of over a decade has given me a passion for research and inclusive digital society. As a Client Relationship Manager in the financial industry, research was an essential component of my role. Every business concerns raised by customers was unique and required extensive study before making informed recommendations. My perspective of the existing age-based digital divide was broadened by my engagement in product development. I saw how the needs of youthful market are commonly generalised and utilised to guide the development and enhancement of digital products. This trend piqued my interest in researching into the lived experience of older people who are traditionally excluded from the designs of technology innovations. This keen interest in how technology affects the welfare of older people and the insatiable drive to help the underrepresented group inspired my doctoral research journey.
