As a Research Finance Risk Analyst Officer at the University of Dundee, a leading UK university, I play a pivotal role in supporting the pre-and post-award management of cutting-edge research funded by the European Commission (EC) and the UK Research and Innovation (UKRI). My responsibilities are critical to ensuring the financial integrity and compliance of these high-stakes research projects. This involves:Grant Management and Compliance: Collaborate closely with Principal Investigators (PIs) to facilitate the submission of award applications, manage claims, and ensure the implementation of Grant Offer Letter (GOL) terms and conditions as specified by the funders.Liaise with Contract Managers, Research Development Managers, school administrators, and other professional services teams within and outside the university to ensure the completion and accuracy of grant schedules.Financial Risk Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments of funding calls, evaluating the financial health and creditworthiness of research funders throughout the pre- and post-grant award lifecycle.Develop, implement, and enforce credit risk policies, guidelines, and procedures that align with the university\'s financial goals and regulatory requirements.Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as the central point of contact for various stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and coordination between all parties involved in the research funding process.
