Dr. Ibikunle is a global leader in infrastructure practices, with project experience across North America and beyond. Leveraging on his 10 years of extensive research and industrial experience, and critical thinking skills, he has, over the last 7 years, been focusing on the development and application of new inspection & condition assessment methodologies, unique rehabilitation solutions for water and wastewater linear infrastructure and asset management practices in alignment with ISO ISO 55001, ISO 55002, International Infrastructure Management Manual (IIMM), etc, as well as the use of tunneling and trenchless technologies in underground construction analysis and design.Dr. Ibikunle is a certified Asset Management (AM) professional with practical understanding and experience in: AM & Optimization, AM Planning, AM Policy, AM Strategy, Asset & Workforce Management, Business Case Creation, Contractor and Supplier Management, Investment Decision- Making, Physical Asset Management, Risk Management and Asset Life Cycle Management. He recently developed an integrated framework for the condition assessment and rehabilitation of large diameter pipes and a novel ‘Pipeline Condition Assessment, Rehabilitation and Costing Tool’. The framework and the tool provide support systems to municipalities and clients in prioritizing repair and replacement projects, avoiding costly and disruptive emergency repairs, and narrowing the ‘infrastructure gap’ by enabling a ‘just-in-time’ investment strategy.In addition to authoring papers and presenting at local and international conferences, Olugbenga, a member of NASTT, currently sits on the American Water Works Association’s (AWWA) Asset Management Committee. Dr. Ibikunle is an Associate Water Asset Manager (AWAM) and also, an Institute of Asset Management (IAM) Certificate and Diploma holder. He is also certified by NASSCO to practice assessment of pipelines, manholes, and laterals.
