ABOUT OLUFEMI BOLARINWA

Olufemi Daniel Bolarinwa (Ph.D) is an Applied Economist and a researcher. He obtained his Bachelor of Agriculture degree in Agricultural Economics and Farm Management from the Federal University of Agriculture Abeokuta, Nigeria in 2006 and graduated top of his class. He earned his Master\'s degree in Agricultural and Resource Economics from the University of Delaware in 2011. His research and professional interest encompasses production, consumption, agribusiness, international trade, and development economics. During his doctoral study, his research focused on the choice of suitable agricultural policies that could enhance food security. Some of his current research and collaborative works include: Agricultural commercialization and Food Security: An ex-ante approach; Sectoral Idiosyncrasies affecting Homemaker’s Labor Participation and Expenditure on Food Away From Home: Evidence from Nigeria; Effect of Income on Demand for Alcoholic and Non-Alcoholic drinks in Nigeria; Food Security and Resilience of Rwanda households: A poisson Analysis; Reconciling definition and measurement of Food Security: A panel multinomial logit Analysis; and The Impact of Agricultural innovation and technology adoption: a meta-analysis. Other on-going research at the preliminary stage includes The effect of household agribusiness on food security using the wave II of the Nigeria Living Standard Measurement Survey (LSMS) data. Also, given Nigeria’s initiative to diversify its economy with Agriculture as a priority, Olufemi and his team are also exploring sources of farmers’ production inefficiencies across different scales of production using the same LSMS data. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family, listening to music, and playing table tennis
