About Oludare E. Babawale
I am Oludare Emmanuel Babawale (Dre), a Ph.D. candidate in the Chemistry and Biochemistry department, at the University of Delaware. I am an ultra-inquisitive graduate student, with an un-unravelable penchant for employing modern Spectroscopic and Microscopic techniques to solve energy problems. My research involves developing novel methods for fabricating metal/semiconductor nano-heterostructures such as Au/NiO, Au/CdS, Au/Cu_2O, Ag/Cu_2O, and AgAu/Cu_2O arrays. In addition, I employ time-resolved ultrafast spectroscopic techniques (in the visible and mid-IR region of the EM spectrum) to investigate plasmon-induced charge and energy transfer in the materials.During my undergraduate research at the University of Lagos, I was privileged to work at industrial research establishments where I was exposed to many analytical tools. Further, my undergraduate thesis used analytical tools to modify Langmuir\'s adsorption isotherm equation to accommodate a multilayer coverage. I look forward to applying my cutting-edge research abilities, passion, and soft skills industrially or academically to extend the frontier of knowledge that could potentially improve human existence.
