ABOUT OLUBUNMI OGUNODE
As a Senior Accountant and Sessional Faculty, I leverage my extensive accounting expertise and academic background to deliver high-quality financial services and educational content. With over fifteen years of experience in full-cycle accounting out of which the last two is for a First Nation economic group, I have successfully supported budget preparation and implementation, managed month-end and year-end close processes, and prepared divisional financial reports. I have also identified and implemented process improvements in collaboration with cross-functional teams, ensuring data accuracy and integrity. In addition to my professional experience, I am passionate about sharing my knowledge and skills with the next generation of accountants. As a Sessional Faculty at Thompson Rivers University, I teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Financial Accounting, design and deliver course materials, assessments, and lectures, and foster an inclusive and engaging classroom environment. I also provide academic support and mentorship to students, guiding them through research projects, assignments, and career development. My goal is to inspire and empower students to achieve their full potential in the field of accounting.
