ABOUT OLLY GUO
I am a Computer Science undergraduate at the University of Wisconsin–Madison (expected Dec 2025) with a certificate in Game Design. My work spans human–computer interaction, AI-driven analytics, and game design, where I integrate machine learning with immersive storytelling and interactive systems.As a researcher, I have developed predictive models for VR gameplay to detect early quitting behavior, studied multi-agent reinforcement learning under partial observability, and applied neural networks to astronomical data for galaxy evolution research. Beyond academia, I lead narrative and gameplay design at Minerva Studio, creating Library of Meialia (a roguelike on Steam) and co-developing Beyond the Garden of Adrian, an interactive VR theatre piece accepted to the Festival d’Avignon.I am passionate about designing adaptive, player-centered systems that connect AI, education, and play—and I aspire to pursue a PhD in Human–Computer Interaction and Human–AI Interaction.
