As a budget Analyst I am responsible for supporting budget performance for Mission and Headquarter offices that are implementing program funds authorized under the President\'s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR).•As a budget Analyst within the Office of HIV/AIDS (OHA) I review, analyze, and identify solutions on PEPFAR budget allocations, obligations, Quarterly Report on the on Obligations and Outlays, and disbursements at Headquarters and for Missions. •Spearheaded the full scope of financial management for three projects, with over $50 million in operating budget. •Lead monthly and quarterly project financial reviews. Identified and recommended cost-effective initiatives for program activities. Analyzed monthly financial reports for timely submission, proper recording of transactions and accurate utilization of the chart of accounts.•Proactively communicated with field finance personnel and program management staff to provide timely finance support, guidance, and finance training via the occurrence of regular calls and continuous interaction with the Project Coordinators and field office finance teams.•Obtained a good level of understanding of assigned projects such that I became familiar with the regular cash needs of the project and was able to identify unusual cash requests or requests that are made in an untimely manner. Recommended ways to reduce idle cash in the field offices.•Assisted program staff with annual workplan budget for submission to client, and work closely with all project accountants, and compliance staff•Identified training needs and provide ongoing technical assistance to field office finance staff and program partners on best practices for financial management systems to increase capacity.•Supported and coordinated with field finance and program management staff to monitor project spending and provide financial reporting and analysis that ensures timely program service delivery and implementation.
