Since 2019, I lead the Inspeere developments on a disruptive professional distributed backup solution that provides increased security, confidentiality and resilience, using less energy (no data-center), at a reasonable price.Because the backup is distributed on multiple sites, it is less vulnerable to many cyber attacks and Single-Point-of-Failure downtimes.As a researcher from academia, I am transfering innovations from my origin Lab (I3S, a joint Unit of UCA and CNRS, in Sophia antipolis). Some of these innovations are being patented (eg. Technique to ensure the QoS of the backup restore operation using DLTs), and others are kept more secretly (eg. distributed ZFS operations).As a CTO, I am continuously investigating the use of cutting-edge Opensource solutions to make our solution the most robust, secure and resilient on the market.Based on the Debian/Linux system, our backup solution relies on such brick an blocks as- Proxmox hypervisor and LXC containers- ZFS filesystem with a proprietary technique to allow the distribution of \"live\" ZFS streams on multiple targets- Ansible orchestration- Shorewall Firewall- Znapzend and Sanoid/Syncoid- HypeLedger Fabric DLT (a kind of Block chain that does not use excessive computations)- OpenVPN- urBackup- OpenSSL and OpenSSH- Fail2ban, with a distributed/collective extension - Suricata IDS/IPS- FastAPI / VueJS- Nextcloud- and more.We are always looking for talents: If you feel like you are exceptionaly skilled at this and would love working on this exciting project, do not hesitate to send me your CV and motivations!
