ABOUT OLIVIER GUILLON

Educated in Australia, Egypt, Canada and France, I am an Aerospace Engineer (ISAE-ENSMA) and hold a University Master in Physics. I served in the French Air Force as a Special Forces Officer.I joined Safran In 1990 as Aerospace Special Processes engineer to develop SuperPlastic Forming, and promoted it through Concurrent Engineering within a wide range of major customers across the world.I became in 1995 head of Sheet Metal and Small Nacelles Productions (managing 300 people).I was also deeply involved in teaching activities in Universities and Ecoles d’Ingénieur.In I was offered a position at MBD.A to set-up and manage the group Composite facility. After 3 years, I evolved as Head of Industrialization for the French part of MBDA missiles and Industrial leader for the Storm Shadow.From 2004 to 2008, we moved to Naples and then Rome in charge of the industrial activities of two major missiles for MBDA in Italy.2008, I joined Eurocopter to manage FALs / Flight Lines for NH90 and Tiger Helicopters in Australia, Finland and Spain. From initially three totally different Industrial approaches, we developed break-through industrial solutions which became benchmark in the group.In 2014 Airbus Commercials offered me the position of General Manager of HMC (China) – an Airbus/AVIC Joint Venture based in Harbin.This role gave me the opportunity to raise in 4 years a site of 300p making $10M a year, to a structured company of making $100M a year. “The most advanced AVIC Composite facility in China” as per AVIC Top Management words.Through a wide Transformation Plan (Comercial, Organization of the Company, HR, reshuffling of the Industrial set-up and the Supply Chain, Digitalization of the Company.) we achieve outstanding Cost Reduction plans, a Quality level in line with Airbus standards and a positive EBIT. To quote the Airbus COO: “A genuine Airbus Plant in China”.In 2018, I moved to Airbus Commercial Hamburg in charge of Single Aisle Rear Fuselage (S15-21).Since 2021 I joined ArianeGroup as Group Head of Industrialization, and I am currently the Chief Industrial Engineer for all Space transportation Programs.
