About Olivier Ghesquiere
Olivier Ghesquiere is a senior executive with more than 30 years of experience in Industrial Services and Asset Finance businesses. He is a business developer with a track record in profit growth under various corporate governance structures including those of a listed company, one backed by private equity, a joint venture and a state owned structure. An influential and motivational leader with a thorough understanding and hands on experience of General Management and Business Development across Europe, America and Australasia. Olivier Ghesquiere began his career with Homma Kinzoku, a computer controlled machine tool maker in Osaka Japan and later joined the Brambles Group, an Australian listed company involved in Industrial Services, Waste Management and pallet rental. While at Brambles, Olivier moved to Eurotainer SA, a leading worldwide tank container leasing company, where he was first heading its Asian development. After the business was placed into a joint venture with Ermewa, he moved to Paris to become Managing Director, successfully turning around the company and allowing Brambles to exit the business under favorable terms. With Ermewa Group, a company that operates leasing fleets in excess of Railcars, Tank Containers and 300 Locomotives, he was actively involved in two successful LBOs under private Equity firm IPE till SNCF, the French State owned National Railway assumed full ownership. As COO and then CEO of Ermewa, Olivier Ghesquiere oversaw the second largest railcar leasing business in Europe including a workshop actiity, he led the disposal of legacy transport businesses and integrated SNCF’s wagon and Akiem locomotive leasing activities into Ermewa.Following a brief assignment as Associate Partner of Wilhelm Borchert, Hamburg, Olivier Ghesquiere joined Textainer based in San Francisco to become its President and CEO in Aug 2018.
