Who is Olivia Boyce? If you were to ask my mother, she\'d say I\'m wildly imaginative and ambitious to a fault - a few traits I take after her. Fresh out of what is often dubbed the \"Stranger Things School\"(aka Chapman University), you\'d think I\'d loathe the predictably poor work/life balance ahead of me, but my appetite for knowledge is insatiable. If I\'m Monty Python, consider the entertainment industry my Holy Grail (decidedly less bloody). My passion for tinsel town stemmed from a childhood of professional commercial acting. Remember those television box sets? I may not understand the \'what\' and \'why\' of a floppy disc, but I\'m likely the last generation to understand that \"Blockbuster\" isn\'t a profanity. Our barely audible dinosaur television came with the captions preset; this stirred an idea. I began to test out the characters\' lines with varying inflections. Soon, I began to memorize entire scenes. I was sold when I realized I could play pretend AND cash in some silver dollars for a new Barbie. Jumping ahead to my first commercial at a prominent studio, I found myself idling outside my trailer, wandering over to the crew, and fixating on the magic of show business from behind the lens. A new obsession was born. So, when I graduated high school, I applied to the Stranger Things School where I identified my true passion of TV and an eagerness to collaborate with talented creatives. As I writhe in my old age as an expired college student, I continue to let my hunger lead me. My intuition has introduced me to great companies and opportunities that have broadened my industry knowledge: a top entertainment law firm, prolific casting directors, a billion-dollar television network, an AI docuseries director, a water rights owner turned executive producer, the longest-standing talent agency, and now the biggest streaming platform. This diverse experience exemplifies my professional philosophy: it’s essential to understand how every cog in the wheel functions to determine how to strike gold, mold, and polish it for presentation. It\'s only appropriate to quote that this \"tis\' but a scratch\" on the surface of the entertainment industry and I intend to dig in.
