As a personnel coordinator, I love getting to be one of the first interactions nurses have with Family First Homecare, a company that provides in-home nurses to children with special needs or medical conditions. I oversee the onboarding process and run in-depth background checks when we receive applications for nurses interested in FFHC to ensure their credentials are active and valid to serve our diverse client base. I also conduct orientations weekly with an average of 2-4 nurses, in which I keep them engaged in all necessary paperwork, educate on company standards and compliance, and answer any questions the nurses may have getting started. I love getting nurses introduced to the FFHC brand and excited to be apart of our ever-growing team.I am the primary HR unit in our office, meaning I ensure we are compliant always and maintain personnel files. I also oversee ongoing training offerings for nurses and internal staff and get my team involved in the community as apart of the Community Connectors committee. In under a year of being in my position, I have trained brand new PCs to and made them feel welcomed and ingratiated in the PC team. I also partner with our corporate HR team to create standardized training practices and materials to help PCs ensure compliance and training goals are met.I love being in charge of training and development for nurses and internal staff! I sound like a broken record, but I firmly believe people deserve comprehensive training to feel prepared to go out into their positions and provide amazing care to their fellow team, families, and kiddos in the home.
