ABOUT OLIVIA VANHOVE

Have you ever started a career path and you didn’t know everything about it but by having confidence behind yourself you knew you’d excel? Oh, me too. Multiple times to be exact. A year ago I began my career with Stanley Black & Decker as in the Sales Coordinator role. Admittedly not knowing much more than what I looked up online and what I learned from contractors. However, I was able to take what I now know and turn it around to have a very successful beginning to my career by exceeding the first sales goal that was given to me and thus was awarded third place in my division for my drive in sales. Now fast forward to current day. I began a Wealth Management Client Associate position with Merrill Lynch and know only the basics in finance. I have a strong belief in building relationships, working hard, rolling with the punches and being a consistent learner. With that type of mindset I know I will fit in and will without a doubt be the best employee, CA and co-worker I can be. I love being able to be hands-on with clients, which is saying a lot coming from a girl who knew virtually nothing about finance when she started. I also love being able to build relationships with co-workers, customers, and other people I interact with daily. It’s extremely rewarding when anyone comes up to me and thanks me for being me and doing what I do. I’ll bend over backwards to help others, but I also understand the importance of standing your ground and holding your own. I firmly believe that my communications degree has helped with my ability to be personable, be vulnerable, be myself and build relationships that are crucial to my position. Our team is always hiring and I would love to help point you in the right direction!
