ABOUT OLIVIA TAYLOR

Athletics have been a key aspect in my life. I have grown up in a family of athletes. My dad and brother played SEC football. My older sister played tennis at a collegiate level. After a childhood in Tuscaloosa and college years in Auburn, I have been immersed in College GameDay and athletics. It spawned a passion to communicate and market athletics at a collegiate and professional level. My Junior and Senior year I was an Auburn University Athletic Department Communications Intern. I served pre-game as a liaison to local and visiting media personnel. I interviewed coaches and athletes and transcribe content from post game press conferences. I input player information and statistics/records for online and media guide. I was involved in team social media and graphic design. My strengths are open dialogue, people skills, and inclusion. I love to network, learn, and bridge knowledge gaps for those outside and within the athletic community. I want to continue to refine my communication skills and gain more experience to be a positive, effective influence in the communication field.
