ABOUT OLIVIA REINS

I am currently the Assistant Recruiting Coordinator at University of Nevada Reno with the Women\'s Basketball Team. In this role I elevate our team through upholding academics standards, helping to coordinate team travel, activities, food, recruiting mail outs, and coordinating with the marketing department. In addition, I helped supervise our student managers and ensured practice logistics were smooth, and was in charge of community outreach. I have a passion for preparing our athletes for the world beyond basketball while pushing them in the right direction to excel in competitive excellence on and off the court, as well as giving back to the community that supports our team. Before my time at University of Nevada Reno I was a Graduate Assistant at Concordia University Irvine Women\'s Basketball. My duties included clipping film, stating, coordinating team travel, social media and helping uphold our academic standards. At my time at CUI we finished 3rd in the regular season and 2nd in the PacWest Tournament in 22-23 season and 4th in the regular season in the 21-22 season. I was born and raised in Estes Park, Colorado which is where my foundation for community outreach comes from as well as my work ethic. I graduated from Pepperdine University with my BA in Psychology. While at Pepperdine I worked as athletics event staff, athletic tutor, volunteer assistant coach with the swim team, and an intern with the women\'s soccer team. While at Pepperdine I spent my sophomore year studying abroad in Shanghai, China where my passion to build relationships with people, and soak up as much knowledge as possible flourished. After graduating from Pepperdine I went to Concordia University Irvine to be a women\'s basketball GA and graduated with my MA in Exercise Sciences and Coaching.
