I am a dual-role professional, serving as a Multimodal Transportation Planner and an Engineer in Training, with a specialization in traffic and roadway engineering. This unique combination of expertise has enabled me to contribute to a wide spectrum of projects, encompassing traffic safety analyses, socioeconomic data evaluations, map design, grant writing, roadway design utilizing tools like OpenRoads, and more. Throughout my career, my experience has been enriched through collaboration with cross-functional teams. These collaborative opportunities have further honed my engineering and planning competencies, facilitating a seamless integration of these two domains in real-world projects. I recently had the opportunity to aid in the design a new pathway for a local community while also performing the socioeconomic analysis for the project\'s existing conditions report. My passion lies in fostering safer and more equitable communities through the synergy of engineering and planning principles. In my view, people form the lifeblood of any urban environment, and ensuring secure pedestrian zones and efficient multimodal transportation is pivotal for the physical and mental well-being of residents. I firmly believe that the ability to comprehend a community from both an engineering and planning perspective equips us to develop designs that are both purposeful and impactful.
