WORK HISTORY
Training & Development Executive @Beating Time
London, GB
Full-time role combining fundraising, communications and frontline work. Trained to carry keys in three prisons. Fundraising responsibilities included grant-writing, qualitative/quantitative data reporting, case study production, online and in-person meetings with funders. I also produced the quarterly newsletter, edited the annual Accounts, and created promotional materials like brochures and flyers. I ran the charity\'s social media (LinkedIn and Twitter pages) and website, writing articles for our blog and creating copy for website updates. I also ran internal communications for the Constructive Custody Coalition, a group of 54 funders and charities advocating for wider sector change by lobbying parliament. In addition to developing a 3-year Choirs Beating Time strategy, I coordinated four of our prison choirs at HMP Maidstone and HMP Swaleside, liaising between musicians, prisoners, prison officers and charity staff. In early 2025, I designed and fundraised for a pilot peer-mentoring music programme. Finally, I delivered our City-and-Guilds assured training course at HMP Isis in Southeast London.
