ABOUT OLIVIA VAN SLYKE
A consistent theme throughout my academic and professional career has been the overwhelming notion that words matter, not only in terms of their fixed meanings but in terms of style, structure, and audience as well. My career in sales taught me the power of persuasion and how to identify solutions to issues from a client-focused perspective. These skills would later be reframed in a rigorous academic context through my coursework in law school, and then on to my practice in family law. Currently, I am seeking a new position as an attorney within the downtown Chicago region. I am looking to work for a law firm in any practice area to help shape my future in the legal arena.
