About Olivia Liuson

As a licensed nurse and UCI BSN graduate with experience in NCAA Division I Athletics, I’ve developed the resilience, time management, and teamwork skills essential for success in fast-paced clinical environments. My experience balancing academics, clinical hours, and year-round competition has shaped a strong work ethic and a patient-centered approach to care. In addition to my athletic and academic commitments, I’ve served as the Nursing Senator in student government, advocating for student needs and taking action on school-wide issues. My research with Dr. Holman on the psychological effects of racism in nursing—culminating in a published review and multiple conference presentations—has fueled my interest in workplace well-being and burnout prevention. I’m excited to begin my nursing career at Stanford Healthcare, where I can continue learning, contribute meaningfully to patient care, and grow as a healthcare professional.
