About Olivia Lamme
Public Relations. and what it means to me. As a senior finishing up my PR degree at the University of Georgia, I have come to understand the importance of creative digital and written communications. I am driven by the belief that strong PR professionals can form meaningful interpersonal relationships while crafting effective messaging for clients. The University of Georgia curates a valuable public relations program with classes dedicated to perfecting the fundamentals of PR writing while simulating real-world experience. I just finished my capstone campaign project for The Portuguese Flagship Program at UGA. This semester-long project highlighted my love for working closely with clients and solving problems by utilizing my written communication strengths. Outside of the classroom, I have gained ample experience on a corporate and local level. During the summer of 2023, I honed my skills in media pitching and releasing at UPS. I utilized UPS\'s connections to the top media markets in the country to curate impressive stories and allow them to gain traction in the news. On a smaller scale, I currently work for the UGA Office of University Experiential Learning as a digital media intern. Through this position, I have learned the importance of brand voice and messaging, especially when dealing with an educational institution. I manage the Instagram account, write original blog content and collaborate on the overall social and digital strategy for the office.
