ABOUT OLIVIA JO DICKINSON
I am currently attending Duke University as a Ph.D. candidate in the Medical Physics Graduate Program. For the past three years I have been conducting research in the Duke-UNC Brain Imaging and Analysis Center, specifically working in the Duke Magnetic Resonance (MR) Engineering Lab. I have been working intently on designing and creating MR technology that can revitalize healthcare inside and outside of the clinic. Our lab has embarked on a mission to refine MRI to provide a more accessible, affordable, and efficient imaging experience for patients by designing a wireless MRI system. A system that integrates wireless technology and communications brings many advantages to the clinic while also allowing a for truly portable systems outside of the hospital setting. This journey to make MRI more accessible is empowering, and I am excited to see just how far we can take it.
