About Olivia Gadberry

My mom will tell you, when I was 3 or 4 years old, that I wanted to be a “firefighter from Texas” when I grew up. That changed once I started school, and for the next 18 years I thought I wanted to be an elementary school teacher. When I left school during the initial COVID lockdown in March of 2020, my mind began to change. By August, I started my junior year in the Business Management program at University of North Dakota without a single clue where I intended to take my degree & future. When participating in the UND Poolman Leadership Academy, I met someone who was extremely passionate in working in events. After some reflection, and knowing both the things I enjoy and my strengths, I Google’d “Event Internships in the Twin Cities” and found Twin Cities In Motion. I began an internship at TCM in January 2022, which is when my love for not only events, but sporting events began! I had the privilege of being a part of the TCM team for over two years, learning the ropes of event management & sponsorship support. Additionally, I have strengthened my organization, customer service, planning, and communication skills, amongst many other useful attributes for the events industry. I’ve now taken these foundational skills and applied them to both my work as Corporate Partnerships Assistant of the Minnesota Timberwolves and Lynx, as well as an Account Coordinator at EventLink Group’s Minneapolis office, an experiential marketing agency based out of Michigan.
