ABOUT OLIVIA FEI-CHIEN CHANG
PhD in the field of biomaterial/bioengineering. I have been a project lead in tissue scaffolds of several different formats - porous scaffolds, hydrogels, and nanofibers - for tissue regeneration and disease modeling in vitro and in vivo. I have designed and performed studies for biological responses and animal studies multiple multidisciplinary collaborative projects. My lab and teammates presented the works in peer-reviewed publications and patents with industry partners. I am experienced in both material fabrication and in vitro or in vivo validation. I have managed multiple labs across university campuses for the entire group for many years. I have overseen research progress and technical writing of research scientists, graduate and undergraduate students. I enjoy collaborating with people with different expertise to bridge innovative technologies to unmet needs. My aspiration is to improve quality of life for patients by proving solutions for both clinical and preclinical challenges.
