Established in 1997 as the national arts organization for American children and the global arts organization for children worldwide, ICAF cultivates their creativity and grows mutual empathy as critical building blocks for a prosperous and peaceful future.
We organize the world’s largest school art program, the Arts Olympiad, to empower students to overcome the well-documented "4th-grade slump" in childhood creativity. Every four years, we produce the World Children's Festival (the "Olympics" of children's imagination) at the National Mall across the U.S. Capitol to infuse creativity with mutual empathy.
