About Olivia Bennett
I am a presidential scholar/broadcast journalism major and criminology minor at Eastern Illinois University with a strong interest in investigative work and hard news reporting. I have been involved with WEIU PBS, since January of 2023. I’m currently producing news packages weekly and anchoring in the evenings while completing my university courses. I’ve aided in the production of multiple shows, including News Watch, Our Story: Jasper County Live Night, and The Paw Report. I have experience reporting, anchoring, news writing, videography and editing, and interpersonal communication. I began involvement at Hit-Mix 88.9 FM in May of 2023. I’ve gained experience as a radio personality and fill-in WEIU Morning Mix co-host.
