ABOUT OLIVIA BARBAS
Hi, I’m Olivia Barbas, a Sport Management student with a lifelong passion for athletics and leadership. Sports have always been a central part of my life, whether competing on the field, working behind the scenes with professional organizations, or contributing to team culture and operations.In high school, I competed in four varsity sports: men’s baseball, women’s ice hockey, volleyball, and softball, maintaining varsity status across all programs. I was proud to be one of the first women in New Jersey to start on a men’s varsity baseball team. Across these teams, I held leadership roles that taught me accountability, resilience, and how to lead by example in high-pressure environments.I am currently involved in Greek life and actively participate in ethics- and culture-focused student organizations, which have strengthened my teamwork, communication, and community-building skills. Professionally, I am a former intern with HBSE, where I gained hands-on experience working with professional sports ventures, including the New Jersey Devils. That experience confirmed my passion for the business side of sports and working within organizations that value integrity, structure, and growth.I’m an outgoing, team-oriented individual who thrives in collaborative environments and enjoys supporting others while continuing to learn. I’m always eager to connect with professionals in the sports industry and explore opportunities that allow me to contribute, grow, and make a meaningful impact.
