As an Operations Associate in the Trade and Settlement Team, one of my primary responsibilities is to run daily reports to reconcile failed transactions, identify the root cause of the issue, and re-enter the positions promptly. This investigation must result in all portfolios being rebalanced successfully, ensuring that clients stay within their allotted strategy allocations.Furthermore, I drive new business by setting up new bonds, equities and funds on the platform, which allows advisers to utilise assets that suit their clients\' investment goals. Permissibility checks must be run with product providers before investment can occur, meaning communication with all parties involved must be consistent and clear.Another element of this role relates to reconciling third-party fee data against our data, ensuring that any discrepancies are ironed out and agreed upon by both parties.Queries from advisers and DFMs are dealt with in a small timeframe due to SLAs with providers, meeting clients\' needs with accuracy and haste.
