About Oliver F.
Oliver Farshi is a British photographer and photo editor based in New York. His work features people in moments of intense transition and revelation.Oliver is a winner of World Press Photo, American Photography, and CPOY\'s Gold Award for Best Documentary Project. His photography has appeared in The New York Times, The Washington Post, The LA Times, The Boston Globe, New York Magazine, The New Republic, People Magazine, and Forbes amongst others.Currently appearing in World Press Photo’s touring exhibition, Oliver’s work has also been exhibited at the International Center Of Photography, Photoville, Baxter St, Visa Pour l’Image. He is a graduate of the International Center of Photography’s Documentary Practice & Visual Journalism program.In his photographic practice, Oliver moves in otherwise unseen spaces, documenting the deeply personal. This can be seen in A Place To Die, which follows his time at a house terminally ill people visit to take a life-ending medication, and The One Who Got Away, which connects each person portrayed through the loss of a loved one in their life.Ultimately Oliver\'s work reveals moments of vulnerability that are familiar yet rarely seen.

Founded creative studio bridging photography, design, and visual storytelling. Led and delivered projects across humanitarian, advocacy, and civic sectors — including work focused on crisis response, refugee and displaced communities, mental health, sexual health, education, and fundraising.Recognized as a finalist at Visa Pour l’Image 2024 for photo editing, design, layout, and coding on KingsWithoutLand.com, a visual story about displaced people in New York City by Sebastian Sele. Recent work reflects a growing focus on editorial and documentary photo editing, with an emphasis on visual clarity, narrative structure, and design. Currently leading design and layout for the forthcoming Stanley Greene Foundation website (launching mid-2025), and responsible for design and development on websites for various photographers including the W. Eugene Smith Fund.
