ABOUT OLIVER YOCUM
I\'m a Master\'s student at Northwestern University, pursuing a BS/MS degree in Mechanical Engineering in the Robert R. McCormick School of Engineering and Applied Science. Through my studies, I\'ve found an interest in sustainability and design, especially in my Design Thinking and Communication classes. Our focus on user-centered design allowed me to imagine real-world use cases for products I designed, and my roles as client contact helped me to see how conveying ideas is incredibly important. My interests in sustainability have led me to NUsolar, where I have lead the team as Project Manager, frequently reaching out to sponsors, alumni, and community figures to garner interest and support in our project. In addition, I\'m also a part of the Mechanical Subteam, utilizing tools like SOLIDWORKS to design and fabricate an electric car powered entirely by the sun.
