ABOUT OLIVER TURNER

I’m a board-certified veterinary toxicologic pathologist (DACVP, DABT) with a PhD in Microbiology and over 20 years of experience in translational research within the pharmaceutical industry. I have led initiatives across biologics, cell and gene therapies, and small molecules, with specialized expertise in ocular pathology, electron microscopy, immunotoxicology, and quality control. My work bridges GLP-compliant histopathology with new approach methodologies (NAMs), currently focusing on digital pathology, AI-driven diagnostics, and radioligand therapy in oncology. In 2025, I completed an MA in Philosophy, Cosmology, and Consciousness from the California Institute of Integral Studies, deepening a commitment to integrating ethical foresight and systems thinking into biomedical innovation.Outside of science, I am an experienced long-distance open-water swimmer, a Triple Crowner of the sport (Manhattan Island, English Channel, and Catalina Channel), and founder of the Horsetooth Open Water Swims in Fort Collins, Colorado. thrive at the intersection of science, ethics, and endurance - and welcome thought-provoking conversations that challenge assumptions and reimagine possibilities.
