Insight are a truly global, value added, FTSE 500 company with extensive technical design, managed service and support capabilities across Datacentre, Cloud, Networking and Cyber Security.My role is to support Insight\'s Public Sector customers with their Datacentre modernisation projects, including Hybrid Cloud adoption & optimisation. I cover multiple technology areas, including Storage, Compute, HCI, Backup & DR, Cyber Recovery & Data Archiving. It is ultimately my responsibility to understand customer requirements and priorities, and then to make suitable recommendations for both technologies and services.Key responsibilities- Lead complex Datacentre and Cloud solution sales engagements - Qualify customer requirements and clarify priorities - Discuss appropriate options and explain any key differences - Provide additional insight and recommend best-fit technologies - Work closely with internal and external Solution Design teams - Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to create proposals and tender responses - Support new business generation initiatives and work proactively with vendors - Enable account managers and provide internal training to promote specific technologies - Proactively generate new business in key target accounts within Higher Education & Research - Identify growth opportunities within existing accounts - Maintain up to date understanding of relevant technologies - Identify market growth areas and key technology trends - Build and maintain relationships with customers, account managers and vendors
