ABOUT OLIVER ROY

I’m a Political Science student at Northeastern University with a passion for law, corporate oversight, and urban planning. My experience in the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office, first in the Nonprofits & Charities Division and now in the Antitrust Division, has fueled my interest in fair competition and how market manipulation impacts everyday people. From researching rent-fixing cases/powerful tech monopolies to tracking corporate mergers, I’ve developed a deep curiosity about how law enforcement protects the public from abuses of power. I’m especially drawn to antitrust and financial regulation as tools to make markets fairer and rebuild trust in institutions. Long-term, I hope to pursue law school and a career in public-interest litigation or state-level enforcement, holding powerful actors accountable and ensuring that justice serves more than just those at the top
