ABOUT OLIVER POUNTNEY

I am a dedicated Mutli-skilled engineer with over six years of experience at ABP Shrewsbury. My journey began with a Level 2 qualification in Electrical Installation at Shrewsbury SCAT in 2018, followed by a Level 3 City and Guilds certification in Food and Drink, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering at SBC training finishing in 2022Throughout my career, I have consistently sought to expand my knowledge and expertise. My role at ABP has allowed me to apply my skills in a practical setting while completing my apprenticeship through SBC Training, where I balanced weekly training sessions with on-the-job responsibilities.*Training course and Technical skills- 18th edition wiring regulations - Fault finding on single/three phase applications - Programmable logic controls (P.L.C’s)- Automation - Hydraulic’s and Pneumatic systems- Electro-Pneumatic systems - Welding and fabrication - Milling and turning - Hand fitting - Thermodynamic’s * Fire warden training * Working at heights * Manual handling * Abrasive wheels * Food safety * Fire arm testing and servicing * Health and safety * IPAF MEWP (powered platform licence) In addition to technical skills, I have completed various safety courses, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of workplace safety protocols and regulations.
