Dr. Oliver Obregon is Vice President of Sustainability, Energy, and Climate Change at WSP, bringing over 17 years of expertise in ESG consulting and water resources management.     Oliver is a civil and water resources engineer with 17 years of experience in environmental consulting and water resources. He is currently leading WSP’s works with Financial Institutions and Multilaterals in the Americas. He possesses experience conducting ESIA, ESDD, EMP, water resources and climate change risk studies for projects and clients in accordance with national regulatory requirements and international standards (e.g, Equator Principles and IFC performance standards). Oliver has also assisted financial institutions (IDB, DFC, IFC, CIFI, KfW, World Bank and other lending institutions) on the preparation and revision of ESDD, Gap Analysis, ESIA, EMP, Climate Disaster Risk Assessments and Management Plans, water quality, groundwater, hydraulic, hydrodynamic, ecological flow, climate change and sediment transport studies for public and private sectors. He provides consulting services to clients from the standpoint of environmental, ecological, and economic benefit. Oliver has conducted studies in different countries such as Argentina, Brazil, Belize, Bolivia, Bahamas, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Honduras, Jamaica, Liberia, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Peru, Sierra Leone, Tobago, Suriname, United Arab Emirates, and USA.
