ABOUT OLIVER LAMBERT

A technical Project Manager working at JLR (previously Jaguar Land Rover) with 3years of Project Management experience split across both Agile at Scale and traditionak Waterfall frameworks. Recently passed though the 5year milestone of technical engeering leadership divided across automotive powertrain software delivery and facilitiy hardware. Completed Prince2 Foundation and Practitioner online classroom training with the Knowledge Academy and currently studying towards both exams. Previously obtained Incorporated (IEng) status with the Institute of Mechanical Engineers and now working towards Chartered (CEng).KEY ACHIEVEMENTSDelivered the complete life cycle plan for the operation of a a week Vehicle in the Loop (VIL) test property, ensuring delivery of data to multiple customers.Won an JLR Exceptional Creators Award for managing external suppliers for multiple powertrains with these external teams split across offices in the UK, France & Germany. Co-developed plans, risks & mitigation actions before leasing these to seniors back in JLROperated as team lead to investigate and fix a recurring fault in the control system of the Flexible Nozzle at Aircraft Research Association’s Transonic Wind Tunnel. Using problem solving methods such as the 5 Whys breakdown analysis and 8 Disciplines approach it was possible to contain the issue and implement a fix with a preventative measure. Methodically created DVM (Design Verification Method) documents to outline high voltage system behaviour while improving clarity and communication within Jaguar Land Rover’s Powertrain department.Through use cases and systematic testing have discovered customer level issues and worked closely as part of a wider team to best improve the robustness of software at Jaguar Land Rover.Secured three academic bachelor degree awards from IMechE including ‘The Frederic Barnes Waldon “Best Student” Award’, ‘The Institution Best Student Certificate’ and ‘The Institution Best Project Certificate’.
