Oliver brings over 25 years of experience leading successful teams in the energy marketing industry. He joined Symmetry Energy Solutions LLC in 2024 as Vice President of Risk Management, responsible for the Symmetry\'s Credit, Market and Operational Risk functions.Prior to joining Symmetry, Oliver spent 2 years with Baringa Partners as Senior Manager, providing high-value consulting services to leading energy organizations in the areas of trading and risk management - helping clients including Oil majors, large refiners and leading gas and power marketers achieve leading practices in trading and managing risks associated with physical energy commodity markets.Prior to joining Baringa, Oliver spent 15 years at Sequent Energy Management, most recently as Managing Director, Asset Management from 20••••20, managing Sequent\'s most complex structured transactions/Asset Management Agreements with Natural Gas Utilities, Producers, Power Generators and Commercial & Industrial End Users.From 2006 to 2013 Oliver was Senior Director, Risk Control responsible for daily P&L reporting, market price curve management, structured deal review and modeling, and risk management policy enforcement. Implemented Sequent’s FX hedging program and lead integration of 2 significant book acquisitions. Prior to joining Sequent in 2006, Oliver spent 7 years as a Manager in the Global Energy Markets practice of Deloitte, managing engagements from ETRM system implementations to Risk Policy development to structured transaction modeling and option valuation. Oliver is skilled in virtually all aspects of Natural Gas Marketing with a focus on storage optimization, P/L reporting, Financial Accounting, Origination, M&A, Contract Negotiation, Regulatory Interaction Management and key technology project leadership. Oliver earned a Master of Business Administration (Finance) from Rice University - Jones Graduate School of Business in (3.9 GPA in Finance, 710 GMAT - 98th percentile), and a Bachelor of Arts with minor in business from the University of Texas at Austin in 1996.Oliver brings a wealth of industry knowledge, analytical skills and financial risk & valuation expertise as wee as exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
