ABOUT OLIVER EHRHARDT
I am a junior majoring in Journalism and Political Science at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. I have a keen interest in writing, reading, and reporting, and I am enthusiastic about all things government and politics. A former member of the Wisconsin Men’s Rowing Team, I work great in teams and enjoy contributing to a collective goal.I interned for WISN-TV as an Emma Bowen Fellow in summer 2025. Through this role, I wrote VOSOTs for the various newscasts, assisted the digital team by writing for web and creating graphics that further enhanced the digital stories I wrote, interviewed public figures and government officials, helped the assignment desk and understood what makes potential stories newsworthy, and shadowed reporters in the field covering everything from state politics to breaking news to better understand anything that could happen professionally. I hope to take what I learn from this internship and my previous experiences to both the classroom and future opportunities to learn as much as I can.
