As an avid Value Investor, I enjoy analysing and valuing businesses.In May 2019 I undertook a bucket list learning journey to Omaha, Nebraska, to attend the Berkshire Hathaway Annual Meeting. As part of the trip I was very lucky to attend the Berkshire System Summit and Value Investors Conference at The University of Nebraska, and Markel Corp Annual Meeting.I was fortunate to listen to and meet- Don Wurster, CEO, National Indemnity- Bob Batt, retired Executive VP, Nebraska Furniture Mart- Tony Nicely, former CEO, now Chairman, GEICO- Ron Olsen, Managing Partner, Munger Tolles & Olson- Tom Gayner, Co-CEO, Markel Corp- Robert G. Hagstrom, Author of The Warren Buffett WayValue Investing is a strategy that targets stocks that are low in price relative to their fundamentals and peers.(BlackRock)My Value Investing style is to screen for Stock Market listed, Profitable Businesses (EV/EBIT) with a strong Balance Sheet and ROCE > 10%. I do not invest in Startup or Scale Up companies, or Residential property.
