ABOUT OLGA WHARTON
Born and raised in communist Russia, I\'ve always been fascinated with stories about other countries and ways of life. Foreign places, cultures and languages inspired me beyond what I could even comprehend at that time. I was passionate to learn English and dream about America. Well, dreams do come true sometimes, and I was lucky to have won an academic scholarship to attend Oakland City University. Having graduated with 2 Bachelor degrees, I was admitted to a fast track management training program at Centex Home Equity (currently Nationstar Mortgage), and that\'s how I ended up in Dallas. I\'ve also worked at Citi here and tried to climb the corporate ladder. Eventually, my entrepreneurial passion took over, and I gave up my business suit to start a pet sitting company in 2003. DFW Pet Sitting Services, Inc. grew as I realized the demand and potential for this service. I decided to take it up a notch and get an MBA degree so that I could focus on what I do best - create. My company grew from one person owner-operator to one of the largest pet sitting corporations in the DFW metroplex, employing 80+ pet sitters and servicing over clients. While growing my pet sitting business, I have designed business management software that I now license to other pet sitting companies throughout the US and internationally. That\'s how PetSitConnect was born. I am currently in the process of developing a scheduling software that will be universal and customizable to other industries. I love living a busy life and accomplishing things as I go. I speak 5 languages but unfortunately I don\'t have much use for them in Texas:) But I still love international travel and learning about other places and people.My hobby is painting. I paint with oil and palette knife. One of my pieces won the Best of Biennial 2014 of Texas Artist Coalition and was exhibited in the heart of the Arts District in Fort Worth, which led to several art commissions. I am thrilled to be here.
