I advise the project Towards a Vision for Rebuilding Ukraine’s Streets and Places, shaping principles for place‑based, sustainable renewal of Ukraine’s public realm after the war.Because many towns still retain pre‑modernist fabric, we can draw on the UK’s expertise in traditional urbanism to re‑establish human‑scale neighbourhoods. As the UK–Ukraine planning liaison, I guide policy choices that reflect wartime realities and shifting national priorities.I broker collaboration between British and Ukrainian practitioners, championing culturally literate, context‑specific solutions while strengthening diplomatic links between institutions.Community insight underpins every stage. Surveys and participatory mapping surface spaces of memory and belonging, ensuring proposals are technically robust and rooted in local values.Key contributions- Curated and spoke at the flagship Create Streets / Royal Academy of Arts event “Towards a Vision for Rebuilding Ukraine”, shaping debate on post‑war reconstruction- Raised international awareness of Ukraine’s recovery and planning reform through targeted articles, presentations and policy briefings.
