As a QA Team Lead at Brilliant Harvest, an AgTech startup building an AI-powered conversational platform based on Azure cloud infrastructure, I’m responsible for quality across the entire product lifecycle. We actively use AI both in the product software implementation itself and in our development and testing workflows, which makes quality engineering especially critical.My role includes technical leadership, hands-on QA work, and people management, covering both manual and automated testing across web, mobile (Android & iOS), and APIs. I focus on building scalable, practical QA processes while staying close to the product and the team.Key areas of responsibility include: Automation strategy & technical directionDefining and driving the automation strategy across web (Playwright + C#), API, and mobile testing, including building automation frameworks from scratch, setting technical standards, and integrating automation into Azure CI pipelines used across the team. Manual testing & release qualityOverseeing functional and exploratory testing, regression, and release validation across platforms, ensuring quality from a user and business perspective. Working closely with product and engineering teams to incorporate quality early in the development lifecycle, including deep participation in requirements refinement, product analysis, and risk management. Release & defect managementCoordinating test cycles, owning bug tracking, handling production incidents and supporting release readiness to keep delivery predictable and transparent. QA leadership & team developmentLeading and mentoring a QA team of 4, supporting both technical growth for manual and automation QAs, as well as soft skills such as ownership, communication, and collaboration. Responsible for performance reviews, regular 1-1s, and supporting individual technical and professional development, while setting quality standards and partnering closely with product and engineering
