ABOUT OLEG DAVIDYUK

Mr. Davidyuk is a trained specialist in process safety with 24 years of experience. He has consistently worked on new scientific and engineering solutions for identifying, quantifying, and managing hazards associated with explosive, flammable and toxic materials for clients in heavy industries. These industries include chemical, petrochemical, refinery, metallurgy, and oil and gas process facilities. He has experience in the development of the new risk assessment methods and their application within a given discipline, such as Facility Siting, Quantitative Risk Assessment, Fault and Event Tree Analysis and Consequence Modeling, Residual Failure Frequency Analysis, Vulnerability Assessment of the blast/thermal radiation/toxic release impacts. The core of his expertise is quantitative risk assessment. Applying academic background and consultancy experience, he was able to develop new hazard evaluation methods and to improve existing ones. Among other he developed procedure, algorithm, and PC-application (called Fields of Risks) for performance of quantitative risk analysis. His PC-application simulates vapor cloud explosions overpressure (BST model), pressure vessel burst overpressure (CCPS), BLEVE-fireball thermal radiation, pool fire and jet fire thermal radiation. The most picky client will be served with Aggregated Individual Risk Iso-Contours, Societal Risk (F/N curves), building location risk, Monetary Loss Risk (F/G curves) calculations. PC-application flexibility allows to conduct Plan Siting and Building Siting while working on Front-End Engineering Design (FEED). He also developed a PC tool for Residual Failure Frequency Analysis and procedure of consideration, forecast and prevention of BLEVE scenario. Among other papers he published a paper as a Guide for Fault Tree Analysis Application for the Processing industries.
