ABOUT OLE DONNER

As one of Germany\'s leading experts in the fields of intelligence and structured analysis, I support companies, government institutions and analysts in improving intelligence. My professional journey began in 2013 as an all-source analyst in a command of the German Armed Forces. Very early on, I took the initiative to supplement intuitive analysis with Structured Analytic Techniques (SATs), as I had the impression that up-to-date knowledge and methodologies were not being applied sufficiently. During my subsequent work at the Bundeswehr School of Military Intelligence, I renewed the analysis training of the German armed forces, focusing primarily on the competence-oriented training of Structured Analytic Techniques. I was in charge of the conception, planning and preparation as well as the practical implementation and continuous improvement. In my last position at the Bundeswehr, I promoted the topics of \"Structured Analytic Techniques for Decision Support of Leadership Personnel\" and \"Intelligence Leadership\" at the Bundeswehr Command and Staff College. The aim was to qualify top personnel so that they can effectively use the wide-ranging toolbox of Structured Analytic Techniques and understand the specifics of managing analysts. Since 2018, I have also been supporting other security authorities at federal and state level in their efforts to expand their own intelligence and analysis capabilities. With my website strukturierte-analyse.de, I have also been reaching a broad public with the topics of analysis and analytic techniques since 2019. With the transition to self-employment in 2021, I have been giving even more companies and institutions the opportunity to benefit from the practical experience and theoretical knowledge that I have been able to gather and test in real life over the past decade. My clients continue to include government organizations such as the criminal police; intergovernmental organizations such as NATO, as well as national and international companies. In the private sector, I provide support primarily in the context of corporate security intelligence, foresight and open source intelligence (OSINT).
